Just Can’t Trust The Weather Man

Keeping my eyes on the weather,, we have been promised a wonderful weekend full of wonderful weather all week long. But upon waking up this Sunday morning and looking out the window there is rain coming down like crazy. I was hoping to be able to spend the day doing some out side work around the place and then going to the local flea market for a few hours, that isn’t happening now.

When will I learn that the weather man is just a man and can’t be trusted as far as you can throw him, how typical is that? LOL

Once again the anniversary of the horrible day nine years ago now referred to as 911 is creeping up on us. It is such a sad day, but I’m so glad to see how people are flying the American Flag for this anniversary. I don’t think anyone of us will ever forget that horrible day and it has brought back a good amount of Patriotism to many of us, which has been long over due, if you ask me.

There are many special events and ceremonies scheduled for Saturday the 11th of September 2010. I’m hoping to make at least one of them this year. It’s good for the soul.

Laundry

One of the house hold chores that I really despise is doing the laundry. I know many people that take most of one of their days off and do their laundry, which keeps them tied down to the house and makes it difficult to enjoy most of that precious day off of work. I have always tried to do a load at least every other day, that way it doesn’t pile up and I have a steady flow of clean clothes that I can wear when I want and need to.

I’m so grateful that my washer and dryer are not stuck way down in the basement. They are actually located in the mud room and so they are very accessible, which makes a big difference to me. I can’t imagine having to climb up and down the stairs 3 times per load.

Cowboys and Indians

I understand that next Sunday the Washington D.C. Redskins are going to play the Dallas Texas Cowboys in the Redskins home turf. I’m very anxious to see how that game plays out. They are old arch enemies that  always provide their fans with a great game when they play each other. Most of the times the Cowboys kick the Redskins asses, but once in a while they surprise us and when that happens it is party time in Washington D.C., Virginia and Maryland.

The Redskins haven’t done well in decades, it would be such a hoot to see them do something worth our while this year. Guess we will see when the time comes how it all will play out.
