When I have a bad day at work, its mostly just me getting stressed out or frustrated with people who didn’t do what they promised or people made a big mistake that I have to fix. But at least no one’s life is in jeopardy. At least I am not a doctor who has to deal with life or death problems. At least I am not a lawyer who could face a wrongful conviction. At least I am not a pilot responsible for an airplane full of passengers.

More Walking

Is it just me or is everyone using their cars more and getting less exercise? I never seem to walk anywhere any more. I used to walk for a couple of miles to go places and not think twice about it. Now I get in the car to go to the grocery store just 1 mile from my house. Of course, I don’t want to lug all those bags of groceries back to the house uphill. But I could walk more if I would just get out of this bad habit of going directly to the car for everything.
Higher Bank Fees

My bank just sent me an email that says they are going to start charging me for using my debit card. If I use the debit card at an atm, that is still free. But if I use the debit card to pay for food, or shopping, or gas or anything like that then I have to pay them $6 a month for non atm use.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I did not get the debit card to use at atm machines. I got it to pay for gas and other purchases instead of having to write a check. In fact, some places will not take a check any more. You have to pay cash or use a card – no more checks. So that is totally not fair and I am really pissed off about it.

Meet Me for Lunch

We were talking at lunch about the best place to meet someone for the first time. So many first dates seem to focus on dinner and a movie. I sometimes don’t want to spend that much time with someone on a first or second date. Especially if you have only chatted online a few times or had friends set you up on a blind date.
I think that a good first date is a lunch date. Now, I’m all up for a free dinner. But lunch is so much more casual, so limited on time, and still daylight out. I think it makes for a better chance to get to know someone and see if there is any chemistry.
