Finger Foods

Most nights I eat dinner like a proper young woman. I have a table set with the proper silver ware, on a place mat, with a glass of water and condiments. If I am alone, I serve from the stove top. If I have company, I serve from the table. And if I have company, I use candles and dim the overhead light. Sometimes I turn on the stereo and play soft rock or smooth jazz to add to the mood.

But once in a while it is fun to mix it up. I like to eat on the couch in front of the TV. If I’m doing that, I fix a variety of finger foods in stead of a formal plating. The finger foods can be anything from steamed dumplings to hot wings. Tonight I’m thinking it will be a finger food night with a cold beer and a movie from Redbox.

Raised to Haze

There was an episode on the TV series called, “Harry’s Law,” based on a true life story of a kid who was punched in a college hazing ritual and ended up dying. So the local prosecuting attorneys decided to charge the entire team with murder. The TV show is loosely based on what had happened to a young man in Georgia last year. I don’t recall if they all got charged in real life or what happened to them. But you have to admit it is a good premise for a story.

Once of the defending lawyers on the TV show called out that hazing is part of American culture. He said that we are “raised to haze.” with all the club initiations and secret societies with their rituals that are all a big part of American life. I think he has a good point. Not that it is right, but it surely does have a solid basis in our culture.

Feathers Are Fun

Walking across the yard today I found a feather on the ground. It’s from a dark bird, like a robin or a crow. I have a bunch of different birds visit my trees and have no idea what kind they all are. But the feather is a very dark grayish color. Not really black, but almost. Probably about 6 inches long and very soft. Perfect for tickling and foreplay.

So I took it in the house and put it on my nightstand. I want to have it handy for next time I feel like playing with someone who is ticklish or wants to be submissive for a couple of hours. I love using feathers and other toys for adult play. Last time I used a tall glass filled with ice. That was so very fun!

Thank Gawd Its Fry Day

Tonight we are going to a fish fry. It’s a fund raiser for a darling little historic log cabin and the surrounding property, including the family cemetery that has headstones going back to the early 1800′s. There are some old headstones that have faded and worn down so badly that you cannot read them at all. One of the most interesting parts is that the main family, James and Lucy Buchanan, that lived there for the longest contiguous time had 16 children together. James was in his 40′s and had already built the log cabin when he married 17 year old Lucy. They both lived long lives and are buried together in the family cemetery.

Now there is an historical society that keeps the property maintained and offers tours and special events. Its a lovely place for a small wedding or private party. Tonight they are hosting a fish fry open to the public to raise money for the property’s upkeep. I love the idea of good food and helping a good cause.

Dark Coffee

One of the guys I used to work with likes to tell everyone he liked his coffee like he likes his women, dark and sweet. Which to most people would mean this old, fat white guy likes to fuck young black girls.

He would always laugh hysterically after he said that and then just walk away. I don’t know what kind of girls he was really fucking – if any. But I kinda think they were not all that sweet and innocent. I bet he had to pay for it.

Do you ever watch a movie about the military and see a drill sargent who has to be all badass and all. He yells at the recruits until he is red in the face and is spitting mad. He looks like his veins are popping out of his fucking head.

There is always that one classic DI line, ” I can’t HEAR you!!!!!”

Give me a fucking break. You yell that at me and I’m just gonna look at you like you are stupid. That doesn’t get respect from me. Be a fucking man with manners and a good job, who treats people well. Then I’ll respect you.

You Gotta Pay to Play

You can’t win if you don’t play. The lotto adds up and gets everyone all excited about dreaming of winning millions of dollars. Why a certain million fucking dollar number gets people more excited than other million dollar numbers is stupifying to me. Anything after a million is good, OK?

i don’t see the attraction of dishing out all that money on losing lotto tickets, week after week, and for some cretins it is day after day. Its stupid. Earn your money and don’t pay the stupid tax. Willing giving the Government your money by buy lotto tickets is pretty much just paying a tax on stupidity. Don’t do it.

Spring Flowers Are Drowning

This week sucks ass at my job and I’m doing everything I can to hold it together. I sear to Christ that everyone must be on the rag and taking out their PMS and nastiness on me. I can’t ignore them but I can’t bitch back, either. I’ve been biting my tongue so much that it must be a bloody mess by now.

I have told myself that if I make it through the entire week without blowing up and cussing out my boss and co-workers, that I deserve some retail therapy. If I don’t make it I’ll probably get my ass fired and not have any money for shopping, so I know you are with me on keeping chill and making it until Friday.

I’m think some cute new platform sandals are what I need to make tings nice again. So who’s coming with me? I’m talking new shoes, bitches! Come on now!

This song by Erin McCarley is stuck in my fucking head. Its called, “Off We Go.” Catchy little tune but I never heard it on the radio. I think it is a European hit and it never made it across the Pond, but I heard it and absolutely love it.

It’s about sneaking off with your lover and going someone to have some fun, if you know what I mean. It’s a guy trying to convince his girlfriend to go, he promises that no one will know. Yeah, right. In today’s world, that is getting pretty hard to do. There’s always someone out to bust you when you are sneaking.
